CCEW Case Study: Windows 11 & Intune

Client Overview 

The Charity Commission for England and Wales is the independent regulator of charities, responsible for ensuring that charities meet their legal obligations and operate in the public interest. It oversees thousands of registered charities, providing guidance, maintaining transparency, and supporting trust in the charitable sector. 

ElysianIT have worked with CCEW over many years and as such have delivered many projects spanning Data Governance (Purview), M365 Collaboration, Azure Cloud Adoption Framework and Migration and IT Support Services. 

Business Challenge 

CCEW needed to upgrade their legacy Windows environment to Windows 11, while ensuring a secure, future-proof endpoint management approach.  They also wanted to streamline device provisioning and deliver a smooth experience for both users and internal IT teams – minimising disruption across four locations. 

Solution 

ElysianIT delivered a full Windows 11 migration with Windows Hello integration, improving device authentication and user security.  A greenfield Intune policy framework was designed and deployed using a baseline of programmatically applied security policies – then tailored per site in line with global best practices.   

As part of the transformation, the organisation transitioned from SCCM and MDT to Windows Autopilot, enabling zero-touch provisioning for new and existing devices. This shift streamlined device deployment, reduced manual configuration, and set the foundation for a modern, cloud-native management approach. 
Where required, new devices were procured, configured, and shipped, with on-site support provided at all four sites to ensure a smooth transition.
